Three vehicle accident occurs at Waverly, Walnut intersection
An accident involving three motor vehicles occurred at about 3:40 p.m. by the intersection of Waverly and Walnut avenues.
The Syracuse Police Department responded to the accident, but could not release specific details, SPD officer Jay Baldwin said. He said the accident was ‘very minor.’
Ian Feiner, a sophomore in the College of Arts and Sciences and contributing writer for The Daily Orange was driving on Waverly Avenue in a silver Acura RDX when a multi-color GMC truck sideswiped him from the left lane, Feiner said. The truck then tried to recover but hit a blue GMC Envoy, he said.
Feiner’s vehicle was slightly dented on the driver’s side. The passenger bumper was dented and the passenger side mirror was hanging off the Envoy. The truck’s front bumper was dented and driver’s side headlight was cracked.
The drivers of the two other cars would not comment. No one appeared injured.
