Former Indiana recruit Patterson verbally commits to Syracuse
Brewster Academy guard Ron Patterson verbally committed to Syracuse Saturday, according to an article published by The Post-Standard.
Patterson gave his commitment while on a recruiting trip to SU this weekend, becoming the third commit in Syracuse’s class of 2013. He had originally committed to play at Indiana, but was then denied from the school because of his academic record, according to the article.
Scout.com and Rivals rated Patterson as a three-star recruit. Rivals also ranked him at No. 30 among shooting guards for his class. Patterson was the all-time leading scorer at Broad Ripple High School in Indiana.
Patterson joins guard Tyler Ennis and center Chinonso Obokoh in SU’s recruiting class.
