Syracuse basketball recruiting: Orange offers 4-star point guard Quade Green
Syracuse extended its second offer of the day to four-star Neumann-Goretti (Pennsylvania) High School point guard Quade Green, multiple sources confirmed. The news was first reported by GiveNGoBasketball.com
Green is the 43rd-rated prospect in ESPN’s Class of 2017 rankings and also has offers from Louisville, Maryland and Villanova, per his profile. He only stands at 5 feet, 11 inches and 155 pounds but could follow in a line of Neumann-Goretti alums to come to SU that includes Rick Jackson and Scoop Jardine.
Green plays AAU ball for WE R1 (Delaware), the same team as Class of 2016 oferee Sedee Keita. Neumann-Goretti head coach Carl Arrigale said via text that Green has received “plenty” of offers today, as it’s the first day coaches can directly contact rising high school junior prospects.
Arrigale also said that assistant coaches Mike Hopkins and Gerry McNamara have been out to the area to watch Green play.
After offering Green and Michael Porter Jr. Monday, the Orange has extended offers to six players in the class.
