MIAMI — Syracuse reserve point guard Frank Howard will not play vs. No. 13 Miami on Saturday, per a Syracuse basketball representative.
The freshman is in attendance at the Bank United Center, but did not warm up with teammates. He sat on the bench in a white polo shirt.
Howard has established himself as Syracuse’s backup point guard under interim head coach Mike Hopkins.
He’s played 11.8 minutes per game in the past six games, and has scored 18 points and committed just three turnovers.
It is unclear how long he will be sidelined.
