Roberts is rated as a three-star prospect, according to 247sports.com and is the fifth-ranked player from the state of Maryland.
The 6-foot-9, 210-pound big man from Brewster (New Hampshire) Academy reportedly will take his official visit to Syracuse on Sept. 22. He has already visited Nebraska and Washington, where former SU associate head coach Mike Hopkins is now the head coach.
Syracuse currently has two commits in the 2018 class, including Buddy Boeheim, Roberts’ new teammate and son of SU head coach Jim Boeheim. The other is Darius Bazley, ESPN’s No. 9 recruit in the country.
