Gabriela Knutson defeated NC State's then-No. 87 Anna Rogers on Sunday and rose up one spot to No. 4 in the national singles rankings.

Syracuse (16-8, 8-6 Atlantic Coast) remained at No. 27 in this week’s Intercollegiate Tennis Association rankings. The Orange defeated then-No. 33 North Carolina State on Sunday afternoon, 4-3, in its only match of the weekend. Syracuse concluded the regular season and its season will now shift to the postseason, with the ACC tournament kicking off Wednesday. This marks the eighth-consecutive week that SU is in the top-50 rankings.

SU’s Gabriela Knutson moved up one spot in the singles rankings, to No. 4, after a come-from-behind three set win on Sunday. Knutson defeated then-No. 87 Anna Rogers 4-6, 7-6 (7-1), 6-3 to clinch the victory for the Orange.

In doubles, Knutson and Miranda Ramirez did not a complete a match since the last rankings update, but moved up one spot to No. 10 in doubles. Their doubles match on Sunday was suspended early because the doubles point had already been decided.

Syracuse’s next match is Thursday morning, as the Orange will take on either Boston College or Pittsburgh in the second round of the ACC tournament. A win Thursday sets up a rematch with No. 4 Georgia Tech on Friday.
