Bradley Voigt (No. 1) and Syracuse rolled over in-state rival Hobart, 11-4, to get a slight bump up the rankings.

Syracuse (6-3, 3-0 Atlantic Coast) moved up to No. 7 in the Inside Lacrosse rankings Monday following an 11-4 home victory over Hobart. The Orange has now won three in a row and has reached its highest ranking since its record was 3-1, following a road victory over then-No. 4 Virginia.

SU’s opponent Tuesday night, Cornell (7-3, 3-1 Ivy), checks in at No. 9 following a 15-11 win over Harvard. The Big Red has won four in a row and six of its last seven.

The rest of the ACC continued to move spots in its rocky season. Duke (10-2, 2-1) moved up one spot to No. 5 following an 8-2 win over Notre Dame (5-4, 1-2). On the other side, Notre Dame dropped three spots to No. 15. Virginia (9-3, 1-2) moved up to No. 12 after defeating North Carolina 15-12 for its first conference win since 2014.

The Tar Heels remain on the outside looking in after their loss. UNC received votes but did not make the top 20. North Carolina, SU’s lone remaining ACC opponent, has dropped six in a row after opening the season 6-0.
