Syracuse received two commitments in two days.

The Orange received a verbal commitment from Rochester, N.Y.’s Chinonso Obokoh on Monday, and B.J. Johnson of Pennsylvania committed Tuesday, The Post-Standard reported.

Obokoh, of Bishop Kearney High School, is a 6-foot-10-inch center and power forward. Scout.com rated him three stars and ranked him as No. 26 at his position in the class of 2013.

Obokoh visited Syracuse on Friday and attended Orange Madness, The Post-Standard reported. He then watched the Orange’s first practice of the season on Saturday. Johnson was also on the Syracuse campus over the weekend.

Obokoh, a native of Nigeria, chose Syracuse over offers from James Madison, Temple, Texas and Villanova.

In the Class A state tournament last season, Obokoh averaged 15 points, 10 rebounds and five blocks per game.

Obokoh will join a quality group of big men at Syracuse, including Rakeem Christmas, Baye Keita and Dajuan Coleman.

Johnson is a 6-foot-7-inch small forward at Lower Merion High School in Ardmore, Pa., and chose SU over Rutgers, Temple and Villanova, The Post-Standard reported. Rivals.com rated Johnson as a three-star prospect.

Johnson averaged 15.8 points per game last season as Lower Merion went 29-4 and reached the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association Class AAAA state final. He also played for the same AAU team, Team Final, as Rakeem Christmas and Trevor Cooney, and former SU star Dion Waiters.

Obokoh and Johnson join guard Tyler Ennis as the first of Syracuse’s commitments from the class of 2013.
