SU’s Jayden Harberts was named the Atlantic Coast Conference Freshman of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday. Harberts is coming off a strong performance at the Wisconsin Nuttycombe Invitational on Friday.

She was the second runner to cross the finish line for the Orange, placing 60th in the women’s 5k. Harberts had a time of 21:06.1.

Harberts is the second Syracuse runner to take home ACC weekly honors this season. Sophomore Sam Lawler earned ACC Performer of the Week two weeks ago for the men’s team.

Syracuse looks for a big performance in its next meet at Lehigh, where the men’s and women’s teams will compete in the Paul Short Run on Saturday.
